MESSAGE FROM THE SECRETARIAT TO ALL ICSTI MEMBERS
*************************************************

ICSTI has been approached by KOPIOSTO (The Joint Finnish Copyright
Organization) which is coordinating a project called VERDI (Very Extensive
Rights Data Information) supported by the INFO2000 Programme of the
European Union.

The project's purpose is to facilitate multimedia rights trading by
creating a European-wide rights information and licensing network. KOPIOSTO
is seeking support in completing an analysis to find out how different
categories of rightholders con be contacted for relevant rights clearance.
For this purpose a questionnaire has been prepared and those concerned are
invited to share their expertise in order to clarify some of the relevant
issues in multimedia rights clearance.

The project is described at http://www.verdi-project.com/

The questionnaire is available at the VERDI site:

http://www.verdi-project.com/form.html

It can be filled out online and is also available for downloading.

For more information, contact Tarja Koskinen-Olson, Coordinator of the
VERDI-Project and CEO of KOPIOSTO,
e-mail: kopiosto@kopiosto.fi

With best regards,

Marthe Orfus
