The FAQ seemed to answer the questions I was going to ask.

Overall the document gives me the save vibe as the CIF
statement - that some developers found to be confusing/
offputting/scarey.

Given that the area is developing, should there be a 
"good will" type of statement for subscribers.
The text gives the impression of being very formal
and a bit scarey.  (i.e., we may do arbritrary things
in the future without considering the potential
readers/users of this information??)
