Applications are invited for Postdoctoral Fellows in the Research  
School of Chemistry (RSC) at The Australian National University,  
Canberra, Australia, working with Professor John White.  The  
positions are funded by the Australian Research Council.

The level of appointment, position within band and further promotion  
will be determined by the candidate's ability and performance.  The  
closing date for applications is 23 July 2007.

Academic Level A or Level B
Salary Package: $52,672- $75,772 pa plus 17% superannuation  
(Australian Dollars)

We are seeking chemists for appointment whose interests are focused  
in the study of the structure and stability of internal phase  
emulsions.  A background in surfactant chemistry and the use of  
microscopy and scattering methods - such as X-ray and neutron  
scattering - will be an advantage.  A background in polymer science  
using some of these techniques would be appropriate.

We are seeking chemists for appointment whose interests are focused  
in the structure of proteins at the interface and under stressful  
conditions such as occurs in the dairy processing and food product  
manufacturing.  The Fellowship is oriented towards an understanding  
of the control of protein structure and will be at a fundamental  
level with indirect collaboration with Dr Maryann Augustin, Food  
Sciences Australia, and Dairy Innovation Australia.
