NEUTRONS AND FOOD - SYDNEY - 31 OCT - 3 NOV 2010

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to advise that registration is now open for the Neutrons
and Food workshop.

The meeting will take place at the Amora Hotel in downtown Sydney from
Sunday 31st October to Wednesday 3rd November.

Details of the workshop may be found at
www.nbi.ansto.gov.au/neutronsandfood/

The application of neutron scattering to food-based systems is still in
its infancy but has significant potential to the determination of food
structure and to the complex relationship between food processing,
rheology, nutrition, food quality and security. The workshop seeks to
identify the future scientific needs and opportunities in the
application of neutron scattering to food science and to foster
collaboration and networking between researchers.

The draft programme is also now available for viewing at
www.nbi.ansto.gov.au/neutronsandfood/program.html

This workshop is supported by the European Union through NMI3
(Integrated Infrastructure Initiative for Neutron Scattering and Muon
Spectroscopy), Joint Institute for Neutron Sciences at Oak Ridge
National Laboratory, the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology
Organisation, the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and
Engineering and the Australian Government Department of Innovation
Industry, Science and Research.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sydney.

Regards,

Elliot Gilbert (workshop co-chair)
