Postdoctoral Researcher in sought for the Center for Neutron Science under the Direction of Prof. Yun Liu ( yunliu@udel.edu<mailto:yunliu@udel.edu> ) and Prof. Norman Wagner ( wagnernj@udel.edu<mailto:wagnernj@udel.edu> ) of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, University of Delaware.
Candidate is expected to have a doctorate in chemical engineering, physics, material science, or related fields with preferred expertise in biophysics and/or scattering methods, preferably neutron scattering.   The candidate will be expected to conduct experimental research on structure-property relationships in monoclonal antibody and protein solutions and related colloidal and nanoparticle dispersions using techniques such as neutron and light scattering, rheology, microscopy and allied methods of colloid and nanoscience. The research includes the development of new experimental methods and working with scientists at NIST and Genentech as well as graduate and undergraduate researchers. The position also includes report and publication preparation.
The position is located at the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) in Gaithersburg, MD with significant interactions with the Center for Neutron Science at the University of Delaware.
The position is available immediately, is for one year and is renewable, including benefits ( http://www.udel.edu/Benefits/ ) and a competitive salary based on qualifications. The starting date is negotiable.
