pdb2cif has been updated to version 2.1.2 of 22 February 1996, which
was formerly in the next_test_version directory.  There is a link
on the page to version 2.2.1 of 12 March 1996, which is now in the
next_test_version.  Version 2.1.2 was the best version prior to the
release of mmCIF 0.8.0.  The test version, 2.2.1, is an attempt to
comply with the new dictionary.  The translation of DBREF and SEQADV
uses STRUCT_REF.  The former uses of ...label_seq_id tokens have
been replaced by ...auth_seq_id tokens, and, where appropriate, new
...label_seq_id tokens have been introduced to comply with the
dictionary mandatory requirements for those tokens.  There are
a few non-compliant tokens in this version, pending resolution of
some open questions.  To recap:  for the best version compliant
with mmCIF 0.7.nn, use the pdb2cif 2.1.2 version at the top level;
for a test version we hope is compliant with mmCIF 0.8.nn, use
the next_test_version one level down.
