World Directory of Crystallographers

The World Directory of Crystallographers is the IUCr's free online database of crystallographers (and of other scientists using crystallographic methods). Inclusion in the World Directory of Crystallographers is optional for all registered users of the IUCr's web services. If you do not wish to be included in the Directory, do not tick the box for inclusion. Not all elements of your personal information will be made public as part of a World Directory of Crystallographers entry; those that will be are indicated below.

Journal publication alerts for this e-mail address

You may use any e-mail address you have registered for receiving e-mail alerts from Crystallography Journals Online. Currently you may choose to receive contents listings of new issues of any of the eight IUCr journals as they are released as each issue is published, but in the future we hope to expand this service to offer other useful information for crystallographers. (If you have specified HTML as your preferred format for receiving e-mail, then you will be able to use the contents listings just by clicking on the links.)

To remove an address, tick this box. When you save your changes, the address will be removed.

Portrait image

You may upload an image in a format such as GIF or JPEG. The image should be approximately 300x500 pixels in size. It will automatically be scaled to the appropriate size and its resolution will be reduced so that the file is not too large. The best type of photograph to upload is a portrait image consisting of just your head (rather like a passport photograph), as anything else will probably be too small to be distinguished. IUCr ID and password

IUCr ID

Your unique IUCr ID is assigned to you automatically when you register, and is your user name for all IUCr online services. (Public information if you choose inclusion in the World Directory of Crystallographers.)

Password

When you register, you may choose your own password to go with your IUCr ID. It should ideally be more than eight characters in length, and consist of a mixture of letters and numbers. Should you forget your password in the future, you will be able to use the automatic password reset form to reset it.

Top | Close window
Diacritical marks and special characters

The user registration system will attempt to identify the character set you are using, and therefore correctly to accept the input of special characters and those with diacritical marks (accents). If there is any character that you wish to use that you cannot successfully input via your keyboard, then you may choose to put in an SGML entity for that character.
