Commission activities

The Crystal Growth and Characterization Commission works mainly via e-mail communication. Given a chance we meet at international meetings where we can enjoy each other's company and get updated about what is happening in crystal growth in our countries. We talk about future plans and about new directions for crystal growth related research and schools. Reports, including the main topics discussed and decisions reached, can be downloaded here for the meetings in Nagoya (Japan, 2016), Montreal (Canada, 2014), Warsaw (Poland, 2013)  and Madrid (Spain, 2011). Below are some pictures from our meetings in Salt Lake City (USA, 2007), St Petersburg (Russia, 2007), Osaka (Japan, 2008), Lake Geneva (USA, 2009), Beijing (China, 2010), Monterey (USA, 2011), Madrid (Spain, 2011), Warsaw (Poland, 2013), Montreal (Canada, 2014), Bologna (Italy, 2015) and Nagoya (Japan, 2016).
