SinCris DENZO and biotex Phase A

home software section
First, DENZO is the integration component of a set of programs, HKL, authored by Wladek Minor and Zbyszek Otwinowski. MSC offers this package as part of its Crystallographic Software Service. It is available for $1500 to academic users and for $6000 to industrial users.

Second, MSC is currently devloping a package called bioteX Phase A for the processing of area detector data. bioteX is written using a Motif based GUI. Although not specifically written for small molecule use, we have built in quite a few features to aid in small molecule data processing, particularly, direct space Fourier transform indexing, automatic integration, an empirical absorption correction, and automatic space group and Laue group determination. We have used the GUI to condense the large quantities of information generated by area detector data reduction into simple, interactive graphs. This package will be provided free to all existing RAXIS (Rigaku Automated X-ray Imaging System) and to all new RAXIS users.

Please contact MSC for more information on either the RAXIS/bioteX system or HKL.
