SinCris Moxgraph - optical constants software

home software section
MOXGRAF is an update of the program "Optical Constants Grapher," which was written at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory a few years ago. The update includes the new Henke tables, extending the range from 30 eV to 10 keV to 10 eV to 30 keV, has a number of bugs fixed, and a few more features such as printer support (which is not perfect, but works in some cases!).

It's function is to calculate the x-ray optical constants of any element or compound. The calculated data for up to six materials at a time can be plotted or saved. The following constants can be obtained:

f1, f2, transmission, mass absorption coefficient, attenuation length, reflection vs wavelength at a fixed angle, reflection vs angle at a fixed wavelength, delta and beta. It can operate in either energy (electron volts) or wavelength (angstroms). The properties of a compound can be also be interrogated directly.

MOXGRAF is written for IBM PCs and comes on a 1.44 MB disk, but must be run from a hard disk.

The program is available free from MOXTEK, and can be obtained by sending us a FAX with the details of where to send it. If you are involved in the x-ray field please do!
