IUCr XVII - Child Care

Some interest has been expressed in having day care available for children during the Congress.

We have located a fully licensed organization that is willing to set up a day care facility within our space if there is enough interest to make it economicallyl feasible.

If you would take advantage of such facilities please send e-mail to flippen@roentgen.nrl.navy.mil providing the following information:

how many children
age range
when the service would be required

The babysitting service recommended by a couple of the hotels and by the Convention Bureau is "Best Sitters". They require a four-hour minimum and suggest a 48 hour advance reservation. They provide "mature, reliable sitters". Here are some costs:

$33 for the first 4 hours
$6/hr each additional hour
$.50/hr additional per each add'l child
$1/hr add'l after 8 p.m.
$1/hr add'l if a multi-family situation
(plus the $.50 hr additional per child)
