To receive the special reduced rates use the Housing Application Form to make your hotel or dormitory reservation. Hotel room rates are subject to a 15.2% tax. Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. You should indicate a preference on the Housing Form. The Housing Bureau may assign a hotel if your first choice is sold out and other choices are not indicated. The reservation deadline is June 7, 1996 for university dormitories and the Sheraton and June 21, 1996 for other hotels. After these dates, reduced rates may not apply and the Housing Bureau will be working on a space available basis. The Housing Bureau will acknowledge receipt of your Housing Form by either fax or mail. This is not a confirmation. A confirmation will follow from the hotel. Please allow 4-5 weeks for receipt of hotel confirmation. All reservations must be guaranteed prior to arrival. You may guarantee your reservation by providing credit card information on the Housing Form or you may send a deposit by check to your assigned hotel after you receive your confirmation. Do not send cash or checks with the Housing Form.
If you select dormitory lodging, the UW Housing Office will send you the dormitory housing application and advance payment information. Changes and cancellations must be made in writing to the Housing Bureau. If you require a change or cancellation within 2 weeks of the Congress, contact your assigned hotel or the UW Housing Office directly.
