The unique nucleating and phasing capabilities of the crystallophore, Tb-Xo4, are illustrated through challenging cases.

Methanogenic F420-dependent methylene-H4MPT dehydrogenase has been expressed, purified and crystallized. Crystals of selenomethionine-labelled enzyme diffracted to 1.5 Å resolution.

Human dipeptidyl peptidase IV has been expressed in the baculovirus system, purified and crystallized.

The C. trachomatis protease CT441 has been recombinantly produced and crystallized, and a diffraction data set has been collected to a resolution of 2.95 Å.

The title compound, C12H10O4S, is a phenolic color developer used for leuco colorants. The two benzene rings with substituent hydroxy groups are nearly perpendicular to each other [dihedral angle = 91.5 (1)°]. There are intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds between an OH group of one molecule and a sulfonyl O atom of a neighboring molecule. One molecule is hydrogen bonded to four symmetry-related molecules, forming a two-dimensional hydrogen-bond network.

A model for the twinned crystals of native methylenetetrahydromethanopterin dehydrogenase (Mtd) was derived from the structure of the Se-methionine labelled Mtd crystals by group-subgroup relations. The static changes found in the refined new structure are consistent with the striking anisotropic libration of the molecular moieties established by TLS refinement for Mtd-Se crystals.
