The following was sent to the mmCIF list in July, 1996 and again in August, 1996 because of some apparent mailing problem. I have just looked at the new mmCIF dictionary and am puzzled why this was not addressed in the new release. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The list of three-letter codes for amino acids includes ASX 'ambiguous asparagine/aspartic-acid' but it is missing the corresponding GLX 'ambiguous glutamine/glutamic acid'.
