IUCr 1993 Triennial Financial Report - Research and Education Fund

Table 13 shows the account of the Research and Education Fund (REF). The fund was also established in 1984 and, like the PJDF, has been built up through transfers from other funds. As for the PJDF, the EC decided to increase this fund by 8% per year, taken from the interest income, with the goal to make it self-supporting. One notes that about CHF220000 was given as young scientists' support during the triennium.
