| Segment 2-50 | Contains the update history of the file: the name of theprogram writing the file; the date on which the file was written as dd/mm/yy; and the time at which the file was written as hh:mm:ss. After 48 updates, segment 3 is lost and the latest one is added to the end of the record, as in a LILO stack. Segment 2, showing the originating program name (and the date and time, if present), is always retained. |
