| - |

In Freudenstadt, Black Forest

Computing

ECACOMSIG brings together software developers from across all
disciplines of crystallography to meet in an informal and productive
Setting for networking, exchange of ideas and to learn new skills. This
year's school blurs the border between lecturers and attendants: all
participants are invited to offer tutorials. Among them will be George
Sheldrick, developer of SHELX, who offer a tutorial on parallel
computing; Rita Giordano, who will teach on using statistics for for
automatic data evaluation and Jens Luebbe, who will show his brand-new
Laue Script, a visual programming language for small molecule
crystallography.

The Workshop will be held in Freudenstadt in the Black Forest from 25-28
August - attendance is not dependent on registration for ECM30, but a
bus transfer to Basel is included in the registration fee of 165€/190€
(double/single room). The registration includes 3 nights accommodation,
all meals during the workshop and refreshments as well.
