CHRNS Summer School on Methods and Applications of Neutron Spectroscopy
| - |
In NIST, Gaithersburg, MD
The 25th Center for High Resolution Neutron Scattering (CHRNS) Summer School on Methods and Applications of Neutron Spectroscopy will be devoted to methods and application of neutron spectroscopy. Neutron reflectometry and small angle scattering techniques will not be covered in this edition of the school.
Participants will have the opportunity of using three of the following 5 neutron instruments: disk chopper spectrometer, backscattering spectrometer, spin echo spectrometer, BT7 double focusing thermal triple-axis spectrometer and the multi-axis crystal spectrometer.
The course is targeted at those with little or no previous experience with neutron spectroscopy methods, and will consist of introductory lectures and training in scattering techniques.Â
Attendance is limited to 35 participants and to those affiliated with US universities and US industry. Â
