ULT 2014. Frontiers of Low Temperature Physics

| - |

In San Carlos de Bariloche

General Solid-state physics

The aim of this conference is to discuss new physics in condensed matter systems at temperatures below 1 Kelvin, to identify new research directions, and to discuss technical challenges and innovations. We wish to bring together a broad community of researchers, to forge links between different experimental communities as well as between experimentalists and theorists.

Topics include:

  • Quantum fluids and solids
  • Quantum matter at ULT
  • Quantum phase transitions
  • Helium as a model system
  • Quantum crystals
  • Quantum turbulence
  • Nanostructures at low temperatures
  • New cooling technologies
  • Thermometry and temperature scale
  • Cryogenic ULT techniques
