The conference was initiated by the German Committee "Condensed Matter Research at Large Facilities" (KEKM), the umbrella organisation of the Committees for Research with Neutrons (KFN), Synchrotron Radiation (KFS), Nuclear Sonds and Ion Beams (KFSI) and Accelerator Physics (KFB). It ties up to earlier SNI-conferences (Hamburg 2006, Berlin 2010) and is supposed to show the complimentarity of the methods and to boost the scientific exchange. The SNI2014 will offer the framework for a wide range of topics and for interdisciplinary networking. These are the main topics:

The main language of the conference is German, but English contributions are admitted.
