This school is designed to help introduce graduate students to the capabilities available at the neutron and x-ray user facilities in the United States and Canada. Lectures, presented by researchers from academia, industry, and national laboratories, include basic tutorials on the principles of neutron and X-ray scattering theory, the characteristics of neutron and synchrotron X-ray sources, as well as seminars on the application of scattering methods to a variety of scientific subjects.
