Second meeting of the Latin American Crystallographic Association (LACA)

The second meeting of the Latin American Crystallographic Association will be held alongside the Eighth National Congress of the Mexican Society of Crystallography, and the Sixth Mexican Synchrotron Radiation Users Meeting. This combination of events is of great importance for the Latin American crystallographic community, which held its first formal meeting in São Paulo, Brazil, building on a previous meeting in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. This forum aims to reconvene crystallographers and members of the community interested in crystallography and related sciences within the Latin American countries. It follows the recent entry of the Latin American Association of Crystallography as a Regional Associate of the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) in 2014.
