The 13th International Conference of the African Materials Research Society (AMRS 2026), which will be held at the University of Nairobi, Kenya, from 7–10 December 2026, with pre-conference workshops on 5–6 December 2026 and an excursion for interested participants planned for 10 December.
The conference theme, “Materials Science and Innovation: Driving Sustainable Development and Socio-Economic Transformation in Africa,” reflects the critical role of materials research in addressing challenges in energy, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and emerging technologies. AMRS 2026 will provide an international platform for sharing cutting-edge research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening partnerships, and promoting the translation of scientific discoveries into practical solutions that benefit society.
