Professor David Eisenberg awarded the Gregori Aminoff Prize

Professor David Eisenberg, University of California in Los Angeles, USA, has been awarded the Gregori Aminoff Prize in Crystallography by The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences “For his discoveries of amyloid fibril structures of relevance for the field of amyloid structural biology and neurodegenerative diseases”.
Professor Eisenberg wrote: "This award recognizes the team effort of our lab, including staff scientists, postdocs, graduate students, and undergrads. It also recognizes the awesome power of X-ray- and electron-based imaging for revealing molecular details of the structures that lead to neurodegeneration. These images are essential for developing drugs to halt progression of these prevalent and devastating diseases."
