The Glory of International Cooperation

Examples of successful international cooperation initiatives will be highlighted this week at The Glory of International Cooperation virtual workshop (Friday 21 October 2022, 15:00–16:30 CET), where the IUCr Executive Outreach Officer, Michele Zema, will speak about LAAAMP. Participation is free. The session is a side event of the International Conference on Research Infrastructure (Brno, Czech Republic; 19–21 October 2022).

Organised by SESAME, the session will also feature talks about the facility's journey to construct the first third-generation lightsource in the Middle East and the challenges towards its continuity and development, the establishment of the African Light Source and the Palestinian–German Science Bridge.
