To mark 25 years of service of three long-serving staff members, the IUCr President Sine Larsen, Secretary General and Treasurer Sven Lidin, and Editor-in-Chief of the IUCr journals Gernot Kostorz joined the staff at the Chester offices. Amethyst geodes were presented to Lorraine Rathbone, Brian McMahon and Peter Strickland.
