Teaching pamphlets

Commission on Crystallographic Teaching

The Teaching Pamphlets sponsored by the Commission on Crystallographic Teaching are now in their Third Series, and provide tutorials introducing different aspects of symmetry, diffraction techniques, structural science and crystallography. First published as print pamphlets in 1981 in association with University College Cardiff Press, they are now freely available on the Web for the use of instructors and individuals.

Crystallography source code museum

This collection contains source code for crystallographic programs that are either no longer actively maintained or have a version archived at a significant point in its historical development. Note that many of them (especially ones with graphic output) will not work without considerable modification to fit the requirements of modern compilers and libraries.

On-line Newsletters of the IUCr Computing Commission

Since 2010, the Phenix group (mainly based at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in California) has been producing a newsletter with a similar name, but of particular interest to the protein crystallography community; it's available from http://www.phenix-online.org/newsletter.

This page is an historical archive of newsletters produced by the IUCr Computing Commission - available as PDF downloads.
