The MLZ Conference 2020 intends to bring together experts in the field of life sciences regardless of whether they have used neutron scattering techniques or not. The conference will try to cover all relevant fields of life science and will discuss  on how to improve neutron instrumentation, access to neutron beam time, sample environments and support labs for future life sciences users.

The European Powder Diffraction Conference, EPDIC, is a biannual conference dedicated to all aspects of the analysis of polycrystalline materials by diffraction methods. Each EPDIC has the aim to highlight the latest developments in powder diffraction including methodology, data analysis and instrumental advances. EPDICs traditionally bring together the scientists from institutes, universities and instrumentation companies to discuss the progress in academic and industrial research related to powder diffraction. 17th edition of EPDIC (EPDIC17) will take place in the town of Å ibenik, an emerging star of the Croatian Adriatic coast.

In addition to the excellent group of speakers we have the ?Freeze Frame Competition? ? this competition is aimed at young researchers, however, is open to everyone. You will have 2 minutes and 2 slides to show off your best images and give the audience an overview of your research project - the best presentation wins!

This joint meeting, to be held at the Corning Radisson Hotel, is comprised of two conferences that will run sequentially. On the third day of the meeting there will be a combined day dedicated to borophosphate glasses followed by a conference dinner to mark the close of the Borate Conference and the start of the Phosphate Conference.

The aim of the Conference is to promote the meeting of researchers coming from public centers and industries to discuss problems related to the nucleation and growth of crystalline materials in natural, laboratory and industry environment. The Conference is open to subjects working in both experimental and theoretical fields concerning the crystal growth.

We are pleased to announce that the next CCP4 Study Weekend in its 2020
edition will be devoted to the single most synergic task in structural
biology: model building. Aside from covering the latest advances in both
automated and manual procedures, the meeting will offer sessions on related
topics such as refinement, validation and representation, with a focus on
helping you produce the best possible model from your experimental data.
All sessions will have an integrative character, presenting methods and
approaches that may be indistinctly used with X-ray crystallography, and
electron cryo-microscopy or diffraction.

This meeting will have a couple of innovations too - more announcements
will follow in due course. The most important ones will be posted here (as
always), but for more fluid news, speaker profiles and direct communication

As in recent editions, the event will be held at the East Midlands
Conference Centre in Nottingham, from the 7th to the 9th of January 2020.
