Terms of Reference

To establish and strengthen contacts with national crystallographic societies or their associated national committees concerned with work on the different kinds of material science studies and crystallography of materials.
To prepare periodically a list of studies carried out in the laboratories specializing in material science, and to give information to laboratories working in these areas.
To encourage and to take part in the production of monographs, textbooks and films for teaching on crystallography of materials in material science.
To participate in the organization and planning of symposia on Crystallography of Materials at the triennial IUCr congresses.
To cooperate with organizations like the Material Research Society (MRS) and International Conference on Material Science on the organization of session at meetings such as the International Conference’s on Materials Chemistry.
To reflect and encourage the expansion of the scientific interests of the Commission into the field of materials research related to crystallography, X-ray, neutrons and electron-beam analysis.
