The International Union of Crystallography (IUCr), which is both a global scientific union and a publisher of crystallographic journals and books, seeks an Executive Secretary (Chief Executive Officer) to manage the organisation and to administer its day-to-day operations.

Due to ongoing poor health, the IUCr Executive Secretary, Alex Ashcroft, will be retiring in August 2022, and so the IUCr is advertising for a replacement. The job advertisement will be posted in the next few days.

The International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) is greatly dismayed by the invasion of Ukraine and is concerned about its impact for the rest of the world.
