We are sad to report the death of Dr David G. Watson, who worked alongside Dr Olga Kennard in establishing the Cambridge Structural Database in 1965. Read the CCDC's obituary here.

The 2023 Crystallographic Computing School is a satellite to the 26th IUCr Congress in Melbourne, and will be held at the Australian Synchrotron from 19 to 22 August. The school is intended for all programmers and method developers in all areas of crystallography (macromolecular, chemical, materials etc.). A basic knowledge of crystallography and programming is expected.

We regret to announce the recent death of Olga Kennard OBE FRS, founder of the Cambridge Structural Database and winner of the 12th Ewald Prize, one of numerous accolades for her many achievements.
