MaThCryst Mailing list
The MaThCryst Commission runs a general purpose mailing list open to everybody who wishes to be informed about forthcoming meetings and schools, and to follow discussions and exchanges of ideas.
Didactic material for the MaThCryst schools
Since its beginning, the IUCr MaThCryst commission has organized a series of schools on Crystallography. In this page we collect some didactic material that is used frequently in our schools. Other material specific to some schools is available in the corresponding school page (see our meeting page to find a complete list of our schools).
Meetings and Schools
The IUCr MaThCryst commission organizes, in cooperation with other IUCr commissions, Satellite Conferences and Schools on Crystallography. School are of two types:
- general schools, targetting young scientists (PhD students, post-docs) or researchers from different fields who need to deepen their formation in mathematical and theoretical crystallography;
- thematic schools, devoted to introducing more specific and advanced topics.
We try to alternate the two types of schools, on the basis of the availability of the lecturers.
Research themes
The following pages aim at presenting in a simple but rigorous way some of the "hot topics" of MaThCryst. This is essentially a cooperative "on-going" project which exploits the dynamic nature of the Internet to improve itself on the basis of the feedback from the readers. Do not hesitate to send us your comments.

ITC Volume M
An exploratory outline of a future volume on magnetic structures for the International Tables of Crystallography, based on commission discussions that began during summer 2013. Moved here on 22/04/15 from the old CMS Wiki, which is no longer supported. External input is welcome.
