Registration is now open for our upcoming Single particle cryo-EM course for beginners, which will be held in person at The Astbury Biostructure Laboratory, University of Leeds.
 

This course, part of the cryo-EM Wellcome/MRC training program, is designed for students and postdocs interested in using single particle cryo-EM for their research. It provides comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in cryo-EM single particle analysis.

This webinar will be presented by Claudio Catalano, a senior scientist at NanoImaging Services.

Title: Cryo-EM structure of HIV-1 Rev Response Element RNA: Structural basis of Rev-RRE interaction

This workshop will be in a hybrid format (virtual and in-person) and at no cost to attend. It's designed for researchers who have prior experience in Cryo-EM structural determination.
 

Our workshop instructors include Ali Punjani and Team (CryoSPARC), Ellen Zhong and her team (Princeton University), Muyuan Chen (SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Stanford University) and Wah Chiu (Stanford University). The workshop will feature the image processing fundamentals, and the latest development in structural heterogeneity, continuous conformational dynamics, map refinement and structure validations. Through case studies and real-world examples, participants will gain practical insights into navigating these complexities and solution opportunities. The instructors will provide their unique perspectives and solutions to address current challenges in high resolution Cryo-EM data analysis.
In-person attendance is limited, so we encourage you to apply at your earliest convenience. Early acceptance for in-person participation will be sent out by August 1st or earlier.

Second edition of the Grenoble Practical Workshop dedicated to helical symmetry determination of biological polymers imaged by cryo-EM.

Please note that this year, due to the specific procedures required, we regret to inform you that projects involving *amyloid* or *microtubules will not be accepted*.

Determining the helical parameters remains a significant challenge for many researchers, and our workshop aims to provide hands-on guidance through this intricate process. We will delve into power spectra interpretation, 2D class-averages analysis, and raw data inspection to extract valuable insights.

While helixplorer will be a key tool covered in the practical sessions, we encourage exploration beyond this approach to accommodate diverse research needs.

Due to limited space, in-person places are strictly limited to 12 delegates:

 5 spaces are available by application to selected PhD students from the community (application details below) - these spaces are available for non-UK based PhD students and are funded by iNEXT-Discovery
