Bio: Xiaodong Zou is a full professor at the Department of Chemistry, Stockholm University. She is an elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, and of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Talk Title: Observing Atoms in Motion Using Fast Electrons

Bio: Christoph Koch obtained his undergraduate degree from Heidelberg University, Germany and his PhD in 2002 with John Spence at Arizona State University, U.S.A., and afterwards moved to the Max-Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart, Germany as a postdoc and staff scientist. In 2011 he became professor at Ulm University, Germany and since 2015 he is Professor at the Department of Physics of Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin where he heads the Structure Research and Electron Microscopy group. The research of his group focuses on the development of state-of-the-art techniques in electron microscopy and spectroscopy and their application to relevant problems in materials research.

The 11th European Crystallography School (ECS11) will be held in Stockholm,Sweden, June 28 - July 4, 2026. The school will offer international students and scientists a series of lectures and hands-on tutorials by leading experts in thefields of X-ray and electron crystallography, with a focus on organic, inorganic, and metal-organic crystal structures. Participants will have opportunities to interact with teachers, industry representatives, and fellow participants through poster sessions,industry talks, discussion sessions, activities, and excursions.

The symposium will bring together international leaders in cryo-EM to discuss advances in cryo-EM technologies, the structural determination of complex biological systems, and new methods in *in situ* structural biology, providing sustained momentum for the field's development.

On behalf of the Asian Crystallographic Association (AsCA), the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), and the International Program Committee (IPC), we are pleased to announce the 19th Conference of AsCA (AsCA 2025) in Taipei, Taiwan, co-hosted by Taiwan and Japan. The conference will take place at the Taipei International Conference Center (TICC) on December 1–5, 2025, jointly with the Symposium on Crystallography of Taiwan and the Crystallographic Society of Japan (CrSJ) Meeting.

AsCA, a regional associate of the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr), is the largest association in the field of structural science within the Asia-Oceania region. This conference, held when there is no IUCr congress, gathers participants not only from Asia and Oceania but also from other regions to share the latest research and advancements. It serves as a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge and strengthening international crystallographic networks among global researchers.

The LOC, formed by the Taiwan and Japan crystallographic societies, and the IPC, composed of international representatives of six major area including biology, physics, chemistry, materials science, and database/data science, are arranging a rich program featuring plenary lectures, keynotes, invited talks, oral and poster presentations, and microsymposia on hot-topic subjects. Additionally, there will be multiple workshops in Taiwan and Japan, commercial exhibitions, council meetings, local association meetings, a half-day synchrotron tour at NSRRC, and social events, including a welcome reception, a young scientist mixer, and a conference dinner.
