Welcome to the 2nd Young Crystallographers Meeting, which will take place from December 2nd to 5th, 2025 in Rennes at the Institut des sciences chimiques de Rennes. This scientific event was planned by popular demand as a follow up of the YCM1, which happened in Strasbourg in 2023.
This meeting is intended for young crystallographers (researchers, doctoral students, post-doctoral students, and engineers) from all sciences combined and all European countries.

The multidisciplinary character of crystallography will be promoted during this event with sessions mixing talks from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mineralogy and Heritage Science fields.

The objectives of the YCM2 are to gather young crystallographers in a multidisciplinary and international context, to create opportunities for scientific exchange, and to provide networking opportunities with industry with a specific focus on the training and career development of the young scientist participants.

The Fourth Pan-African Conference on Crystallography (PCCr4), to be held in Algiers, Algeria, in 2025, represents a key event for crystallography in Africa. Building on previous conferences in Cameroon (2016), Ghana, and Kenya (2023), PCCr4 will bring together researchers, scientists, and students from across the continent and beyond to share knowledge, discuss recent advancements, and explore diverse applications of crystallography and structural science. A preliminary bid prepared by Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the Lviv Convention Bureau was discussed in 2019 during ECM33 in Vienna. However, in 2020, the entire world was paused by COVID-19. In 2021, during the XXV Congress and General Assembly of the International Union of Crystallography in Prague, the ECA Council accepted the bid from Lviv to host ECM35 in 2025. Unfortunately, in 2022, Russia began its war against Ukraine. During ECM33 in Versailles, the ECA Council confirmed Lviv as the hosting city of ECM35, but as the war continued, in 2023, the Polish Crystallographic Association and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan offered their support. Ultimately, ECM35 will have a binary location: Lviv and Poznan.

Now, a few words about Poznan, the city where ECM35 will eventually take place. Poznan is an old and beautiful city, and one of the largest academic and research centers in Poland. It is also one of the oldest and most important cities in the country. It can be argued that this is the place where Poland, as a country, was born more than a thousand years ago. I truly hope you will have the time (the organizers will certainly ensure this) to visit the most important historical sites here.

So, we cordially invite you to participate in the 35th European Crystallographic Meeting, Lviv â€" Poznan, Ukraine â€" Poland. We are confident it will be a time of fruitful exchange of thoughts, new ideas, and new contacts, as well as an opportunity to get to know this very special and beautiful part of Poland and prepare to visit Lviv after the Victory.

 At the XXV Congress and General Assembly of the International Union of Crystallography in Prague, it was decided that the 35th edition of the European Crystallographic Meeting would be held in Lviv, Ukraine, in 2025.

 Unfortunately, there is a war in Ukraine, and it is not reasonable to organize a great scientific event in Lviv in 2025. An alternative was thus elaborated where, thanks to a collaboration between the Ukrainian Crystallographic Committee and the Polish Crystallographic Association, the conference site will be Poznan, a city in neighbouring Poland.

This workshop invites scientists from research institutions, museums, and conservation bodies, to look at apatite from various points of view from mineralogy, structure, anthropology, archaeometry or possible nano-technology.

Different communities are invited to present reviews of established research, recent results and envisaged trends in key areas of Archaeometry and Conservation Science.

The present workshop, organised as a satellite meeting of the 7^th International Congress Chemistry for Cultural heritage (CHemCH 2024, Bratislava, Slovakia), will invite scientists from research institutions, museums, and conservation bodies, in order to illustrate state-of-the-art studies focusing on determining origin of materials (manufacturing method or natural sources) and provenance of art objects (whether in the sense of regional, workshop, or period) using methods of advanced materials analysis. Although only invited contributions are planned, all interested people are invited to exchange ideas and discuss the presented topics.

The CrysAC workshop on "X-ray based characterization of Archaeological and Historical Glass and Glazed artifacts" is within the series of one-day workshops organized by the IUCr Commission on Crystallography in Art and Cultural Heritage, aimed to stimulate knowledge exchange between crystallographers and researchers interested in Cultural Heritage investigations. The upcoming CrysAC workshop is planned as a satellite meeting of the 34^th European Crystallographic Meeting, Padova, Italy.

Different communities are invited to present reviews of established research, recent results and envisaged trends in key areas of Archaeometry and Conservation Science of Glass and Glazed Artefacts. This can encompass a wide range of cultural heritage artefacts ranging e.g. from ancient archaeological finds over decorative artwork such as medieval stained glass windows and majolica tiles to 17-18^th drinking vessels.

The present workshop will invite scientists from research institutions, museums, and conservation bodies, in order to illustrate state-of-the-art applications of X-ray methods such as diffraction, fluorescence, absorption and tomography for the characterization of the above-mentioned artifacts. Papers on recent instrumental and methodological advances, opening novel fields of research on cultural heritage materials, to understand chemico-physical processes and structural transformations, are also welcome. The program will consist of invited and contributed lectures; all interested are invited to exchange ideas and discuss the presented topics.

The EPDIC Conference is the biennial meeting dedicated to all aspects of the analysis of polycrystalline materials by diffraction methods. It brings together experts from universities, research institutes and instrumentation companies to share their knowledge and discuss the current trends and challenges in powder diffraction.
In agreement with the traditional character of this Conference, EPDIC18 will yield an exciting scientific program that will cover a broad range of hot traditional and new topics interesting to the powder community.

The Conference will be held in Padova, at the Padova Congress Centre on behalf of AIC. It will be organized in synergy with ECM34, which will precede EPDIC18 in the same location.
