6th Tunisian Crystallographic Meeting (TCM6)

You are cordially invited to participate to the 6th TUNISIAN CRYSTALLOGRAPHIC MEETING (TCM6) by submitting a paper and actively assisting in its work.
TCM6 is intended to provide an excellent opportunity for National, Maghreb and International researchers to make their own work known to a wider audience and to have discussions with other participants. This conference will also be an opportunity to exchange experiences, create and consolidate cooperation between different research structures.
This outstanding conference, organized by the “Tunisian Crystallographic Associationâ€, will take place from 1â€"5 November 2017 in a beautiful and exotic Hotel: El Mouradi Djerba Menzel 4* on Djerba Island, an ecological place, very popular by its palm groves, its beaches and its wetlands populated by various species of migratory birds.
The conference will expand to cover a broad set of research topics about:

NCS2016 is held under the auspices of BCS and is the major event on Crystallography, crystal growth, structure analyses and related techniques in Bulgaria. The Symposium aims at the applications of different crystallographic techniques in combination with other methods in the fields of materials sciences, mineralogy, biology, environmental engineering, computational methods etc. Bringing together researchers from different areas NCS16 will provide them with a high-qualified platform for them to share their latest studies and to assist further findings and collaboration.

“Condensed Matter in Paris†is jointly organised by the Condensed Matter Divisions of the French Physical Society SFP and of the European Physical Society EPS, and will unite the 14th Journées de la Matière Condensée (JMC14) and the 25th Conference of the Condensed Matter Division of the EPS (CMD25) in a single event.
 “Condensed Matter in Paris†is the next in the series of biyearly JMC and CMD conferences, the last of which were held in Montpellier and Edinburgh, respectively. It will also host the biyearly French-Singaporean workshop on physics, which, this year, will have “Graphene†as its main theme.

In this School of Advanced Studies will be treated theoretical and practical aspects of crystallographic methods applied to the determination of the chemical structure of materials. The proposed themes for the School involve all material science, control and Description of industrial crystallization processes, nanotechnology, and especially polymorphism and co-crystallisation of drugs. The second school in Crystallization and Crystallography for Latin America (ECRISLA) will feature internationally recognized experts and will be taught at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil.

Theoretical studies of X-ray diffraction of single crystals to determine new structures using area detectors. Theoretical studies of X-ray diffraction powder for identifying polymorphs and co-crystals in drugs and the possibilities of determination of average crystallite size and microstrain.
 Practical aspects
Knowledge and experience applied to problems crystallography using X-ray diffraction monocrystal using area detectors in different fields of research. Applications of the techniques of X-ray diffraction of the powder to the study and control of active pharmaceutical ingredients in industrial level. Use and practical software for determination of average crystallite size and microstrain.
8th International Workshop on Bulk Nitride Semiconductors 2013 (IWBNS-VIII)

The International Workshop on Bulk Nitride Semiconductor (IWBNS) is designed to implement and increase information exchange and collaboration among academic, industrial, and government scientists on challenges of growing high quality Group III nitride crystals with low concentration of structural defects and controlled conductivity type.Â
This workshop has been previously held in Brazil (2000, 2002, 2007), Poland (2004, 2009), and Japan (2006, 2011). For the first time, worldwide expert on bulk nitride related science and technology will meet in GermanyThe IWBNS-VIII will focus on the most recent advances and potential approaches to solve remaining challenges on group-III nitride crystals growth and conductivity type control, surface preparation, fast growth and deposition rates, polarity control, device grade homoepitaxial films, doping, characterization, optical and electronic properties, device fabrication and characterization, modeling and theory.Â

Scope
The objective of the school is to provide a comprehensive series of lectures on theoretical and experimental aspects of growth and characterization of semiconducting, oxide, metallic, organic, biological crystals and PV devices and equipment. A textbook containing slides selected form the lectures will be available at the School. The level of the school is intended for post-graduate and post-doctoral students as well as researchers from industry and academia who are interested in fundamental knowledge of crystal growth and epitaxy.
The new researcher in the field of crystal growth, as well as the advanced ones, are encouraged to attend.
Informal discussion of student research through posters is planned during the extended coffee breaks. In addition, several social activities will provide many opportunities for discussions.
