Re: Report on CODATA General Assembly 2004

Just a brief note to draw your attention to the published version of the
ICSU Priority Area Assessment on Scientific Data and Information at
http://www.icsu.org/Gestion/img/ICSU_DOC_DOWNLOAD/551_DD_FILE_PAA_Data_and_Information.pdf

At a glance, this looks as though it is not greatly different from the
draft that CODATA reviewed and responded to; but it is now in the public
domain and may be cited as a valuable contribution to the development
of strategy in scientific data management and access over the next several
years.

International Science Council Scientific Freedom Policy

The IUCr observes the basic policy of non-discrimination and affirms the right and freedom of scientists to associate in international scientific activity without regard to such factors as ethnic origin, religion, citizenship, language, political stance, gender, sex or age, in accordance with the Statutes of the International Council for Science.
