Commission on Quantum Crystallography

Commission on Quantum Crystallography

General Information

This Commission of the International Union of Crystallography focuses on experimental and theoretical work on charge spin and momentum densities, and was originally known as the Commission on Charge, Spin and Momentum Densities. The current name was adopted in 2017 at the 24th General Assembly of the IUCr in Hyderabad. The aim is to combine experimental techniques, theory and computations to come to a coherent understanding of electronic charge, spin and momentum densities in atoms, molecules and condensed matter.

The Early Days

Very interesting information on the early days activity of the Commission can be found in the inaugural Newsletter published in Acta Cryst. (1989), A45, FC15-FC17.
