[SA_scat] Your chance to view the bids for SAS-2012 & SAS-2015

The International Conference on Small-Angle Scattering has been held
approximately every 3 years since 1965.  The next conference in the
series (SAS-2009) will be held in Oxford, UK in September 2009.

 

At SAS-2009 delegates will have an opportunity to vote for their
preferred locations for the next two SAS Conferences, in 2012 and 2015.
Bids to stage these Conferences were solicited through this forum in
2008.

 

In conjunction with the IUCr Commission on Small-Angle Scattering, it is
the pleasure of the SAS-2009 Local Organising Committee to now make
those bids available to the global SAS Community for discussion and
consideration ahead of the vote.  In parallel the Commission has also
set up an expert Evaluation Board to critically evaluate each bid.

 

There are three bids:

 

Sydney, Australia (for 2012 or possibly 2015);

 

Knoxville, USA (for 2012 or possibly 2015);

 

Berlin, Germany (for 2015)

 

The documents submitted by the bid teams may now be may be downloaded

where is also a feedback form allowing specific questions to be put to
the bid teams.

 

(Please note: this form is moderated and is not intended as a voting
mechanism).
