ASAXS Workshop in Berlin at HZB, November 24th - 25th

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to a workshop on Anomalous Small Angle X-ray Scattering "ASAXS in condensed matter science", which will be organized from the Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin fuer Materialien und Energie. . The workshop will take place at the location Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen Campus of HZB (BESSY II) in Berlin between November 24th and 25th. The deadline for abstract submission is October, 23, 2011. Please, find more details, the registration form and the abstract template on the workshop web-site:
http://www.helmholtz-berlin.de/events/asaxs-workshop/index_de.html

We would like to draw your attention to this meeting with the aim to facilitate a regular platform for scientists, who are using or interested in this synchrotron radiation based method of contrast variation.

In the last decades many of you have performed successful ASAXS experiments representing all disciplines of condensed matter research. The workshop intends to bring together the experts from different research fields and instrumentation with the aim to discuss latest advances in materials science as well as soft and hard matter problems, future developments, theoretical aspects and the complementary use of synchrotron radiation and neutrons.

The program of the workshop will include invited lectures (25+5 min), talks (15+5 min) and a poster session. Discussion sessions and scientific exchange along the individual science fields are integral part of the program. We would appreciate, if you could spread this information among colleagues and friends. We explicitely encourage students to register for this workshop.

It could be happen that you received this mail more than once because it is being sent to several mailing lists, too.
