We announce the call for synchrotron beamtime applications inbiological small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and macromolecularcrystallography (MX) for the period March - December 2020.The following EMBL/DESY beamlines at PETRA III are available:P12 (SAXS), P13 (MX), and P14 (MX). For both SAXS and MX,instrumentation for pump-probe time-resolved experiments is in place.
Groups applying for beamtime to work on several projects in MX andSAXS are strongly encouraged to submit BAG (Block Allocation Group)proposals. Mail-in proposals for the use of robotic sample changerare encouraged for SAXS. The deadline for submission of proposals for 2020 is
Sunday, 1st December 2019 (midnight CET)
after which the proposals will be evaluated by an external ProjectEvaluation Committee. The users will be informed about the results oftheir application in early February 2020.
A detailed description of the three beamlines and linksto the electronic proposal forms can be found at:SAXS: http://www.embl-hamburg.de/services/saxs/(see also http://www.embl-hamburg.de/services/saxs/How_to_apply_for_BioSAXS_access.pdf)MX: http://www.embl-hamburg.de/services/mx/Time-resolved MX: http://www.embl-hamburg.de/services/mx/P14_EH2
Submit a proposal via the EMBL Hamburg user portal:
