Dear CIF developers,

The CIF-JSON standard has passed COMCIFS with flying colours (no objections).  I will arrange for it to be placed on the CIF website, together with John B's schema.

Dear Cif developers,

There having been no immediate objections to the latest draft I have submitted it to COMCIFS for their approval.  Any substantial suggestions will be routed back here for discussion.

Dear CIF-developers,

I have updated the draft, which you can view as always at http://comcifs.github.io/cif-json

The differences from the previous draft can be viewed at the following link:
https://github.com/COMCIFS/comcifs.github.io/commit/e7cdf293979c240a8bc3ea9354c7703044ff2d44?short_path=fd4fbe8#diff-fd4fbe8f7dc33b4a97fb39965f4e0243

In summary, I have attempted to fold in all of Bob's nomenclature corrections as well as
(1) Add top level "CIF-JSON" item
(2) Capitalise 'Frames" but not otherwise change the behaviour of save frames
(3) Make all datanames, block headers, save headers case-normal
(4) Add some comments relating to last weeks' discussions

Bob - it was a bit difficult discovering all of the many useful small suggestions in your Google doc, if there is ever another Google doc some way of showing differences from the original would be most helpful.

all the best,
James.
