[dddwg] Happy New Year

Dear Colleagues

January nears its close and still I have not sent out the cheery
"Happy New Year" message I intended at the start of the month, a
reminder that we're all very busy on other pressing tasks. However,
please do not forget that we do have important work to do, and any
occasional contribution that you can make to the work of the group
through postings to the forum or other activities will be very
useful and greatly appreciated.

I'm very grateful to those who have identified suitable exemplar
publications in recent IUCr journals, and have provided links to
associated deposited data or, in some cases, the data themselves.
There is still time for Commissions that have not yet contributed
to help us in this way.

Note that there have been a few recent forum postings, including
a report from John Helliwell on the January CCP4 meeting; an
outline by Tom Terwilliger of reasons for archiving data and
criteria for decided what should be verified and kept, and for
how long; and, on the public forum, an invaluable structured
index by Tom of the CCP4BB discussions last autumn.

We look forward to your further input.

Best regards
Brian
