CBFLIB 0.3.1.1-beta

This is to announce the release of version 0.3.1.1-beta of the CBF
library (CBFLIB) by Paul Ellis and Herbert J. Bernstein, for comment and
beta testing.  Version 0.3.1.1 supports both Crystallographic Binary
Files (CBF files) and Image-supporting CIF (imgCIF) files,   This
version has been tested on an SGI under IRIX 6.5, a DEC alpha under
dec-unix 4.0 and a PC under Windows NT 4.0.

The software and an image used by the example programs is available at

We would be very grateful for any comments and bug reports to

Note that the documentation at

    http://www.bernstein-plus-sons.com/software/CBF/

has NOT yet been updated to version 0.3.1.1 so anyone intending to use
CBFLIB should refer to the documentation that comes with the library.
