CAMERA Postdoctoral Fellow in Algorithms for X-Ray Diffraction

The Center for Advanced Mathematics for Energy Research Applications (CAMERA) is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Berkeley Lab’s Computational Research Division (CRD) to work on the theory, design, and implementation of algorithms applied to solving challenging scientific problems that arise in X-ray scattering and diffraction experiments.

The work will involve collaboration with domain experts across the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) synchrotrons, in particular working closely with scientists at Berkeley Lab (California) and Brookhaven National Lab (New York).

The successful candidate will drive independent research within a broadly-defined target area, with particular focus on the development of physics-grounded methods for interpolating and reconstructing incomplete spaces.
