Advanced Light Source in BerkeleyPostdoc Position
Position Summary:Berkeley Lab's Advanced Light Source Division has an opening for a Scattering and Tomography Postdoctoral Scholar position. You will be engaged in the development and application of machine learning for scattering and tomography. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of collaborative research. The successful candidate will be developing machine learning algorithms in collaboration with the X-ray micro-tomography and X-ray scattering group and implement the algorithm at beamlines.

What You Will Do:*             Development of machine learning algorithms for scattering and tomography.*             Strong interest in computing and algorithm development.*             Work in a diverse team of scientist.*             Interact with beamline staff.

What is Required:*             Ph.D. in physics, material science or related field.*             Excellent software development skills.*             Knowledge of tensoflow or related software.*             Multi CPU/GPU programming experience.*             Demonstrate experience in developing algorithms for either X-ray tomography or X-ray scattering*             Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional Desired Qualifications:*             Background in either X-ray scattering or Tomography theory.
