I am delighted to be taking up the role of Chair of the International Union of Crystallography (IUcr) Commission on Small-Angle Scattering (CSAS).
CSAS comprises 7 voting members and 8 consultants who volunteer their time to promote small-angle scattering including providing advice for the triennial small-angle scattering conference and microsymposia for the IUCr conference, contribute to IUCr journals as editors, alongside activities for outreach, education and promotion of the technique.
Over the next three years, we will be developing a range of opportunities for members of the community, particularly early career researchers. to become actively involved. More details of this and other initiatives will be available in the coming months through this IUCr CSAS discussion list.
