Dear Colleagues

The IUCr Diffraction Data Deposition Working Group has so far had three
years of activity involving consultation exercises, workshops and
publications. There was a public meeting at the Montreal Congress to
review progress so far and to plan for further activities. The minutes
from this meeting have been posted at
    http://forums.iucr.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=347

Part of our activities has been the maintenance of the active mailing
list dddwg@iucr.org, which has been used, as here, to notify interested
parties about useful forum posts and to carry out other discussions.

At this 3-year point, we need to revise the mailing list to include
newly appointed Commission Chairs and to provide an opportunity for
individuals to retire. It is also a good opportunity to purge
outdated or erroneous email addresses.

I shall therefore send two messages (this and a following one)
linking to the Montreal minutes. This list is going to the entire
OLD mailing list. The next one, in a few minutes, will go to the
NEW set of addresses.

If you receive two messages, then you will continue to receive
all postings to dddwg@iucr.org

If you receive ONLY this one, and no longer wish to hear from the
list, then you need do nothing.

If you receive ONLY this message, but you DO wish to continue to
take part in the discussions of this list, then please resubscribe
in one of the following ways:

(i) Visit the web page http://mailman.iucr.org/mailman/listinfo/dddwg
(ii) Send an email to ddwg-request@iucr.org with the word "subscribe"
      in the Subject: line.Subject
(iii) Send a request to me, bm@iucr.org

If you are leaving the list now, then thank you for all of your support
and contributions during the past three years. Remember that you can
continue to follow the activities of the Group at any time through the
public forum http://forums.iucr.org/viewforum.php?f=21 and you are
welcome to re-subscribe to the mailing list at any future time.

Best wishes
Brian
