Re: DRAFT recommendations v1.2

Thanks to Howard and Peter for their input to our
recommendations. The deadline for your feedback is
at the outside Aug 18 (I depart on Aug 20) unless
Chester needs to have them before then. It may
depend on when Nicola departs for Florence?

Please give me your comments on Howard's revised
1(b) and 1(c). They seem fine to me... though 1(c)
may be seen as a bit too prescriptive.

Peter's example of how tables may be handled is
well worth looking at (though the full graphing
and equation functionality didn't work for me -
perhaps because I use a Mac or its a test version).
Those who have used recent versions of genealogy
and other database software will appreciate just
how clever and dynamic table data can be made.
What I have no feel for is the level of support
needed to implement a "Knovel tools" approach to
tabular data presentation. Perhaps its straight-
forward... but it could be timeconsuming?

Advice on which IT tables should be prioritised
for such treatment is encouraged.

Cheers
Syd
