Dear fellow small-angle scatters,
This will be primarily of interest to those of you who small-angle neutron scattering and have an interest in networking in the UK. (Not all small-angle scattering is with neutrons, but some is!)
I am happy to update you all about UK NSG (UK Neutron Scattering Group) Early Career Meeting 2026. We unfortunately had to postpone our 2025 event, and it will now be held on 15-16 January 2026 still in the city of Bristol. At this event, we welcome neutron scatterers (from whatever field of science or using whatever technique) to join us for a two-day meeting of scientific presentations, career development opportunities, and networking with like-minded neutron scatters.
You can find more information about the event at the website below, which we will continue to update as the meeting approaches.https://iop.eventsair.com/nsecr2026/
Abstract submission is currently open, and you have until 1 December 2025 to submit an abstract. You can also register now, with an early bird booking deadline of 23 December 2025. There is a discount for RSC or IOP members.
We are pleased that we still have plenary talks from Adam Clancy at University College London and Maggie Holme from Chalmers in Gothenburg, who will be talking about their recent research and funding. Alongside them, we will have invited talks from two recent neutron prize winners about their current research: Mohamed Aouane (ESS) and Andrew McCluskey (Bristol). All of this is in addition to contributions from the meeting participants.
We would also like to acknowledge the generous support of our sponsors: the European Spallation Source, the Institut Laue-Langevin, and the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source.
I look forward to seeing you in Bristol in January 2026!
All the best,Greg
PS. Sorry if you've already seen this posted elsewhere.
